Roe v. Wade is in danger. If it’s indeed struck down by SCOTUS, it will set off trigger laws in numerous states around the country, including all the states bordering Montana. Fortunately for us, there are no such laws in Montana… YET.
But Governor Gianforte and the GOP led state legislature have already restricted abortion access once in 2021 and they’ve hinted at putting new laws on the books that would look more like the laws coming out of Texas and Oklahoma. These are the types of laws that make no exceptions for rape, incest, or the health of the mother.
