Here’s my story:
After September 11th, I decided to work in counterterrorism to protect our country. That’s why I joined the National Security Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office. In recent years, I learned that some of the biggest threats we face are right here at home.
The January 6th insurrection didn't happen by accident. Extremists in Washington, big tech companies, and right-wing media helped amplify dangerous conspiracies and lies. This is a systemic issue that we desperately need Congress to solve.
My opponent Ken Calvert was one of Washington's worst offenders. In the aftermath of Jan 6th, he perpetuated the Big Lie that the presidential election was stolen. Within hours of the attack, he voted to decertify the 2020 election results.
This campaign is about stopping extremism so we can get to work for the American people. That means creating a legal framework to make sure Americans can agree on basic facts again. Only then can we move forward on the things that matter -- improving health care access, growing the economy for the Inland Empire to Palm Springs, and saving our environment from the climate crisis.
Lastly, CA-41 has proven it is no longer the Republican stronghold it once was. For the first time in the district’s history, registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans and a recent survey conducted by a third-party pollster showed our campaign neck and neck with Ken Calvert in a General Election matchup.
