John,
This year has already seen too much tragedy in our country. A little over a week ago, 21 lives were lost in Uvalde, Texas, 19 of whom were children. Before that, a massacre in Buffalo, New York.

Just a few weeks ago, at an appearance at TEDxPortland, Senator Betsy Johnson said she is sure that "the type of gun doesn't dictate lethality," despite the lived experience of the grieving families from these massacres who say otherwise.
Betsy is on the wrong side of this issue – and she has been for years. Her track record reflects an extreme stance against common-sense gun violence prevention. In her two-decade career in the Oregon Legislature, Betsy consistently voted against bills to address gun safety. For example, in 2017, she voted against a bipartisan bill aimed at helping families keep guns away from individuals who might hurt themselves or others, and in 2018, when she opposed a bill to keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers.
There is a lot at stake in November – from protecting reproductive rights to ending gun violence to addressing climate change – and Tina is the only leader who has shown that she will step up to fight the good fight. Can you chip in $5 or whatever you’re able to and support Tina’s campaign for Governor and support the best candidate when it comes to the issues people care about? >>>

This November, there is a clear choice when it comes to gun violence prevention and working to make sure what happened in Uvalde and Buffalo never happens again. That choice is voting Tina for Governor.
Oregon deserves a leader in the governor's office who believes in common-sense gun safety measures and who will stand up and fight for safer communities free of gun violence.
No family deserves to bury their young child because of gun violence. Our schools, churches, grocery stores, and movie theaters should be places where people feel safe.
As House Speaker, Tina made sure that Oregon passed legislation to keep guns from domestic abusers and stalkers, strengthened background checks for gun purchases, and required guns to be stored safely. As Governor, Tina will work to ban ghost guns, prevent teenagers from purchasing assault weapons, and require completed background checks anytime someone buys a gun.
We need to step up and pass comprehensive gun safety legislation – because that's how we fight this epidemic. Tina, unlike Betsy Johnson, is determined to make sure things get done to make sure what happened in Uvalde never happens in one of our communities in Oregon.
Donate now to Tina's campaign and support her in this fight to make our communities safer. >>>
