πŸŽ‰Union Victory at Howell Mill!πŸŽ‰

Congrats to Howell Mill on Your Union Victory!
Screenshot of tweet from Atlanta Starbucks Workers United that says

Major congrats to our comrades at the Howell Mill Starbucks who just won the first union victory in Atlanta 10-1! We are so incredibly proud of the hard work done by Starbucks organizers over the last few months, in spite of illegal union-busting tactics from management.

Β

But the fight isn't over! We'll be there to continue supporting Starbucks organizing campaigns once contract negotiations begin, and hope that other locations around the city follow suit!

Excited about the Howell Mill victory? The Starbucks workers at Ansley Mall have also filed for a union and are set to vote on June 22nd! Until then, they need as much community support as they can get.Β

Join ATL DSA this Sunday June 12th at 10:00 AM for a Starbucks Solidarity flyering. We'll flyer door to door to inform local residents about the unionizing efforts and build community support for the union! We'll meet in the parking lot outside the Ansley Mill Starbucks (1544 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30324). Wear red and bring a mask!

Can't make it? Here are more ways to support the union:

β˜• Visit this store some time this month and order a coffee under the name "Union Yes" to let the workers know you support their right to have a seat at the table!

✏️ Sign our Starbucks Solidarity Petition! Take the pledge to stand in solidarity with Atlanta Starbucks United workers -- whether atΒ  rallies, at stores, or on the picket line! πŸ“’

πŸ’° Donate to the Atlanta Starbucks Workers United GoFundMe to help raise funds for Starbucks workers facing retaliation from management.

πŸ” Find more information on our Starbucks solidarity work at atldsa.org/starbucks. Email our Labor Committee at [email protected] to get involved.

✊ Stand with Atlanta Opera Workers ✊

Come Stand Beside Us. Support Workers' Rights. Help us call out the Atlanta Opera for being anti-worker! 225 Rogers St NE, Atlanta GA 30317. IATSE 798

The Atlanta Opera is unfairly interfering with the efforts of Hair and Makeup workers to organize a vote to demand the same rights as their Orchestra, Stagehand, and Costumer/Wardrobe counterparts. For over a year now, the management of the Opera has fought against workplace democracy and undermined the rights of workers who make the Opera what it is.

Β

Join IATSE Local 798 in their support of Hair and Makeup workers by taking the actions below!

πŸ“ Sign Opera Workers' petition for recognition

πŸ“± Call the Atlanta Opera management!
