John,
Buffalo. Uvalde. Tulsa. We have been rocked by gruesome acts of gun violence in the last weeks. And reports of more mass shootings over the weekend litter news headlines today. Many of us are left feeling hopeless, fatigued, and outraged.
To be frank, John, I’m right there with you. How many more times must we watch our children, friends, and family be gunned down in broad daylight before the U.S. Senate acts?
But in these painfully difficult times, I want to offer a bit of positive news. Brady is working in states across the nation to pass lifesaving legislation and we are making strides toward a better country. I want you to know that even in the hardest moments, there is still hope in this fight.
Just this morning, the governor of New York signed TWO lifesaving bills into law, just weeks after the hate-filled attack in Buffalo. Brady was intergral in passing both laws which will improve gun dealer oversight and give law enforcement the tools to solve gun crimes.
In Baltimore, represented by our legal team, we announced a landmark lawsuit suing Polymer80, the largest manufacturer of “ghost guns” in America. Ghost guns have flooded the streets of Baltimore, fueling devastating acts of gun violence. Our suit seeks to stop this violence and end the sale of ghost gun parts in Baltimore.
And right now in Congress, we’re working with the U.S. House to advance an entire package of gun safety bills to the U.S. Senate, including a bill to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
John, I know it can feel like nothing is happening to address gun violence in America. But I need you to know that Brady continues to make monumental progress across Congress, in the courts, and in our communities. And if we're going to continue to save lives, we need your help. That’s why I’m asking you to fuel this fight forward with a donation today. Please, will you give right now and help us finally change this country?
