If we want to end this horrific war or that horrific war, we're going to need to end what we ought to oppose even more: the entire institution of war, which swallows up enough funding to save vastly more lives if spent more wisely than the lives lost thus far to wars.

If we don't want to be "vegetarians between meals" or peace advocates only in between wars, if we understand the importance of war abolition and intend to make it happen, then we have to -- each and every one of us -- be a part of the war abolition movement by signing our name to the peace pledge.
