Hello,

I couldn’t believe it when I heard it. The day after 19 students and 2 teachers were murdered in Uvalde, Texas, Chuck Grassley started running a new ad across Iowa radio stations touting his NRA endorsement.

I guess it wasn’t enough for Chuck to take hundreds of thousands of dollars in blood money. Or to be named Legislator of the Year by the literal gun lobby in April.

Instead, right after a school shooting, Chuck Grassley blocks a bill requiring universal background checks and trumpets his highly-coveted NRA endorsement.

Is Grassley tone deaf or just unmoved by carnage? Either way, I’m going to beat him this November and finally end his 47-year career in Washington.

I’ll never take money from the NRA. And I certainly won’t take their endorsement. But if I’m going to go up against all their money and win, I need grassroots donors like you behind me every step of the way.

I’m facing my most critical fundraising deadline of the entire campaign at midnight, and right now we’re still dangerously short of our $200,000 goal and what we need to keep our TV ads up. If I’m going to defeat Grassley and turn Iowa blue this November, I’m counting on you to give right now:

Please, before this critical fundraising deadline at midnight, will you chip in $5 or more right now – whatever you can afford to spare – to help me defeat Chuck Grassley, turn Iowa blue, and protect our Democratic majority in the Senate?

If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Chuck Grassley’s callousness is disgusting, but it unfortunately isn’t surprising.

With your help now, I WILL defeat the NRA’s favorite senator this November.

Thank you for everything,

Mike Franken, U.S. Navy (ret.)
