The struggle to keep conservative and traditional values continues to pit us against “woke” American corporations, such as Pizza Hut which has become the latest business to join the long list of virtue signaling companies. This week Pizza Hut put the book “Big Wig” on their suggested summer reading program. The book is geared towards children in pre-kindergarten up to third grade. The "Big Wig" picture book is about a kid who becomes a drag performer and celebrates drag kids. The added incentive: free pizza for a child who completes a monthly reading goal! Liberals are becoming more aggressive in pushing their agenda. We have to step up to the plate and let them know that this is not OK. We need to get their attention, stop the propaganda, and boycott these businesses. I've heard some people say: "I don’t need to worry about it, I don’t have children in the system." This can’t be further from the truth. These children are the future of the country. The way they are brought up will determine how this country is going be in 10, 15, 20 years. They are the future leaders. We ALL need to be involved in saving the children which in the long run will save the country. Boycott companies that are pushing this liberal agenda and indoctrinating the younger generation! On June 6, 1944, Supreme Allied Commander General Dwight D. Eisenhower gave the go-ahead for the largest amphibious military operation in history: Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of northern France at Normandy, commonly known as D-Day. The Normandy Invasion consisted of 5,333 Allied ships and landing craft embarking nearly 175,000 men. The British and Canadians put 75,215 troops ashore, and the Americans 57,500, for a total of 132,715, of whom about 3,400 were killed or missing. Before the Allied assault, Hitler’s armies had been in control of most of mainland Europe and the Allies knew that a successful invasion of the continent was central to winning the war. Hitler knew this too and was expecting an assault on northwestern Europe in the spring of 1944. At first, Hitler, believing that the invasion was a feint designed to distract the Germans from a coming attack north of the Seine River, refused to release nearby divisions to join the counterattack and reinforcements had to be called from further afield, causing delays. In addition, the Germans were hampered by effective Allied air support, which took out many key bridges and forced the Germans to take long detours, as well as efficient Allied naval support, which helped protect advancing Allied troops. Though D-Day did not go off exactly as planned, as later claimed by British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery–for example, the Allies were able to land only fractions of the supplies and vehicles they had intended in France–the invasion was a decided success. By the end of June, the Allies had 850,000 men and 150,000 vehicles in Normandy and were poised to continue their march across Europe. The heroism and bravery displayed by troops from the Allied countries on D-Day has served as inspiration for several films, most famously The Longest Day (1962) and Saving Private Ryan (1998). Look for it in the mail in the next two weeks as it is essential to your voting in the upcoming primary and general elections. Moms for Liberty Awarded the 2022 “Salvatori Prize for American Citizenship” from the Heritage Foundation Moms for Liberty, the nationwide advocacy group for the empowerment of parents, (started by two local women, Tiffany Justice, Indian River County and Tina Descovich, Brevard County) was awarded the 2022 Salvatori Prize for American Citizenship on Thursday at the Heritage Foundation's annual Resource Bank meeting. The group is being recognized for their perseverance in preserving and advancing core American principles. Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts released the following statement on the award: “At no time in American history has educating students and empowering parents been more critical than it is today. GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS Governor Signs Freedom First Budget Providing Historic Investment to Support Communities, Promote Education and Protect the Environment Thursday, Governor Ron DeSantis signed the Freedom First budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 which prioritizes the freedoms of Floridians to live, work, and have successful businesses in the state. The budget totals $109.9 billion and includes a record $1.24 billion in tax relief for Floridians. Florida will have historic reserves at the end of Fiscal Year 2021-2022, totaling more than $20 billion, and reserves for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 are estimated to begin the year at more than $16 billion. Florida has record levels of reserves while continuing to make historic investments in education, infrastructure, and other programs. To maintain Florida’s sound fiscal standing in the face of negative economic headwinds due to ill-conceived federal policies, Governor DeSantis vetoed $3.1 billion in spending, setting a new state record by a wide margin. “Florida has preserved freedom and kept the economy open, which has enabled the state to outperform the nation in jobs, growth, and business formations,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “Our commitment to freedom has paid off. Governor DeSantis Says “Brandon - America’s Most Unpopular President.” Governor DeSantis states frequently that Florida is the freest state in the country, which has put him at odds with Democrats in the state and across the United States. One of these Democrats is President Biden, who has criticized DeSantis numerous times. In a message to supporters, Governor DeSantis said that "at a time when Americans are facing real challenges, the Brandon administration is putting on another show of COVID theater." It was announced this week that the Justice Department would be asking the court to reverse the order lifting the mask mandate on airplanes. Democrat Florida Rep. Charlie Crist, who is once again vying for the Governorship, has also expressed that should he win, he would implement a mask mandate in Florida. During his tenure, however, DeSantis has vehemently opposed mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and vaccine passports. ATTORNEY GENERAL ASHLEY MOODY 40Attorney General Moody Secures Prison Sentence for Gang Member Trafficking a Teen Attorney General Ashley Moody is announcing the sentencing of a known gang member convicted of trafficking a young girl. Attorney General Moody’s Statewide Prosecutors secured a 13-year prison sentence for Michael Hill after the defendant coerced the teenager to engage in car dates with paying customers and then took a cut of the profit. Hill also used the victim for the creation of child pornography. Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “This monster exploited a runaway teen, transported her hundreds of miles away and forced her into the underground world of sex trafficking and child pornography—all so he could make money off her misery. Thankfully, Florida State Troopers rescued the victim and my Statewide Prosecutors worked to ensure this human trafficker will spend a long time in prison for his atrocious crimes.” More. Attorney General Moody Catches Another Biden Administration False Statement, This Time to SCOTUS Through continued litigation efforts to stop the crisis at the border, Attorney General Ashley Moody uncovered documents showing the Biden Administration once again misrepresented the facts—this time to U.S. Supreme Court Justices. In briefs submitted and arguments made before SCOTUS in Biden v. Texas, the U.S. Department of Justice claimed it is longstanding federal policy to use detention capacity as a permissible basis for releasing illegal immigrants into the interior of our country. However, U.S. Department of Homeland Security memos, obtained by Attorney General Moody’s office through litigation efforts challenging Biden’s unlawful immigration policies, show the DOJ statements to be untrue. In DHS memos from 2014 and 2015, federal officials state that lack of detention space is not an appropriate reason “to parole an inadmissible alien.” Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “First, Secretary Mayorkas made misrepresentations to Congress. SENATOR MARCO RUBIO Rubio and Colleagues Introduce Legislation to Protect American Sovereignty Against WHO Last week, Senators Marco Rubio and Ron Johnson (R-WI) introduced the No WHO Pandemic Preparedness Treaty Without Senate Approval Act. The bill would require that any convention or agreement resulting from the work of the World Health Assembly’s intergovernmental negotiating body be deemed a treaty, requiring the advice and consent of the Senate. The legislation comes as the World Health Organization (WHO) pushes for broad new powers under a new “international treaty for pandemic preparedness and response.” “The WHO is a corrupt organization that is supposed to support international health, but instead it caves to tyrannical regimes and plays politics,” Rubio said. “The constitution is clear – any international treaty requires the advice and consent of the U.S. Senate.
