On the Agenda: This week, we expose how the Biden administration is using subterfuge to illegally steer taxpayer funds to favored identity groups. We debunk the left’s claims that President Trump’s tax cuts “cost” $2 trillion. We also reveal the winners of Heritage’s first-ever Innovation Prize. There is more to explore in The Agenda.
Biden Administration Implements Racial Spoils System on the QT
In the news: The Biden administration released a series of 25 “action plans” through every executive bureaucracy last month that double down on their color-conscious equity policies. If you think that smells rotten, you’re right.

Subterfuge: In reality, these “equity action plans” would enshrine racial discrimination as the official policy of the executive branch. The Biden administration knows this, so they try to hide their racial spoils system under a veil of bureaucratic euphemisms like “marginalized,” “underserved,” and “disadvantaged.”

Our take: “Why all the subterfuge? Because such racially discriminatory policies violate the Constitution and are illegal under the Civil Rights
Act of 1964,” write Heritage experts.

The Numbers Are In: Trump’s Tax Cuts Paid Off
Taxing tale: The left has repeated ad nauseam that President Trump’s tax cuts “cost” $2 trillion. But new research calls the lie on this claim.

The facts: New data project tax revenues from 2018-2027 will be $570 billion higher than estimates made before Trump’s tax cuts.

Biden’s hidden tax: The left also won’t admit that Biden-fueled inflation amounts to a hidden tax on everyone and that Biden’s warped inflation plan <[link removed]> won’t do anything to fix it.

Our take: “Unlike the Trump tax cuts, it appears the final price tag on the recent federal spending binge will be even higher than originally advertised,” writes Preston Brashers, a senior policy analyst at Heritage.

Health Care: Time to Go on Offense
This ship is sinking: The three major government health programs—Obamacare, Medicaid, and Medicare—are all worse off today under the Biden administration than they were 16 months ago.

Also, iceberg ahead: That’s not all, folks. With support from its allies in Congress, the administration’s short-term “reforms” would clear the way for a single-payer health care system.

It’s time to take the helm: Stopping the administration’s plans is critical, but so is offering a constructive set of alternatives. Thankfully, Heritage experts have identified five ways Congress can get the ball rolling.

Learn more: Find out what those five ways are here <[link removed]>.
Heritage Launches Innovation Prize, Announces First Winners
A new initiative: Heritage’s Innovation Prize provides substantive financial awards to bold, creative, results-oriented projects by conservative nonprofits.

Inaugural winners: The first recipients are Alliance Defending Freedom, Independent Women’s Forum, and the State Financial Officers Foundation. Each organization will receive a $100,000 prize to support their projects.

Serving the movement: The prize “is about serving the movement and uniting conservatives—particularly outside the Beltway—to defeat the destructive ideology and designs of the radical left,” said Heritage President Kevin Roberts.
