We’re still taking votes on our GivingTuesday
participation goal — until midnight tonight. Right now, 64% of Mercy Corps
supporters who’ve voted favor a goal of 1,500 people pitching in with a
gift on GivingTuesday, which would unlock a $150,000 match!
Community is everything to us. I
hope you’ve seen that, as someone who’s engaged with us before.
It’s how we work. It’s how we see the world. So, we’re
leaving it up to you, the community of humanitarians who make up Mercy
Corps, to decide just how ambitious we should be on GivingTuesday. Can you
take a moment now to weigh in?
   On GivingTuesday, I
think the Mercy Corps community should strive for...

I know it’s the weekend. Thank you for opening — I’ll
   keep this brief.
GivingTuesday is coming up, and a group of fellow Mercy Corps supporters
is prepared to match donations on that day. We really want this to be a
community effort, so you now have a choice to make:
What goal should we set for Mercy Corps supporters pitching in on
   GivingTuesday?
We’ve got three options, and I need your vote to make the call:

The group of donors behind this GivingTuesday match — Ruth from
Washington, Dennis from Oregon, Carlos from Brooklyn, and more than 3,500
others — really want to inspire the Mercy Corps community of humanitarians
to give. The more ambitious our GivingTuesday goal is, the bigger their
   matching gift will be.
As the Americas Regional Director for Mercy Corps, I know that when this
community comes together, we can accomplish extraordinary things. I saw
how much of an impact Mercy Corps
supporters made in the days, weeks and months after
Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas — from helping to mobilize
emergency teams and distributing supplies, to partnering with Mission
Resolve Foundation to install a reverse osmosis water treatment plant so
that more people could have access to clean water.
Right now, as families in the Bahamas continue to recover, Mercy Corps
teams are helping hundreds more communities around the world where women,
men and children are living through crises caused by natural disaster,
conflict and the devastating impacts of climate change. That’s why I hope
the community will come together again in a big way this GivingTuesday.
Wherever the vote lands, that’s what we’ll aim for in just a few days. To
weigh in, please respond by midnight tomorrow!

Every dollar raised and matched on Tuesday will power our work in more
than 40 countries to help families become more resilient to the effects of
climate change, partner with communities on breakthrough solutions to
poverty and hunger, help refugees survive and thrive in their host
   communities, and more.
Thanks for your time, and for helping set this important goal!
   Sincerely,
   Provash Budden
