Friend, I’m furious.

We just learned that the Supreme Court intends to overturn Roe v. Wade. 

I am devastated for the tens of millions of Americans this decision will inevitably impact – destroying families, finances and lives. And I’m furious at the politicians who brought this about – the politicians who believed they should control what happens in our bodies.

As shocked, angry and disappointed as I am, I know this didn't happen in a vacuum. For the past five decades, Republican politicians have waged an all-out war on our reproductive rights – chipping away at them with state-level abortion laws and allowing the likes of Donald Trump to stack the court with three ultraconservative "originalists."

The Republican Party has made ending access to safe and legal abortion a litmus test and a guiding principle for every member of their party.

But all is not lost, friend. Just as politicians and politics have allowed this to happen, the right leaders have the power to turn this around. That means electing strong Democrats up and down the ballot.

I'm working with American Bridge to shine a light on the extremist Republicans who would overturn Roe in a heartbeat if given the opportunity. We're using our resources to defeat these Republicans in critical battleground states like Arizona, Georgia and Ohio by exposing their plans to rip away rights Americans have had for fifty years.

But right now, at this critical moment, I spoke with the team, and we're still $8,350 short of our $20,000 midnight goal.
