A.G. Holder is right, John:

We’ve accomplished a lot since the NDRC launched in 2017 with a mission to end Republican gerrymandering. We’ve helped break GOP supermajorities in state legislatures, flip some chambers outright, elect Democratic governors who fiercely oppose gerrymandered maps, and promote successful fair maps ballot initiatives.

Some experts have even noted that, thanks in part to our work, the next elections will take place on the fairest maps we’ve seen in a generation. That’s the difference we’ve made together.

But friends, there’s still more left to do – a lot more. And this work isn’t always smooth sailing. In states like Florida, Republicans have ignored the will of the voters entirely to pass manipulated maps despite the fact that fair maps ballot initiatives passed over a decade ago. That’s why we’re getting ready to fight back in the states, in the courts, and at the ballot box this November.

The NDRC and our affiliates have experts on the ground who are doing the hard work needed to end gerrymandering every single day — but that work takes resources, and we’re counting on grassroots supporters like you to help the NDRC raise what we need to keep up the fight.
