Greg Abbott was faced with a choice on the day of the Uvalde school
shooting. He could either go to his campaign fundraiser 300 miles away
from where he was, or he could drive 240 miles — a shorter distance — to
the community that had just been attacked. He chose to count dollars while
they were still counting bodies.
This is the story of Greg Abbott’s time in office: he consistently puts
politics over people and campaign checks over our communities.
Last year, the power grid failed on Abbott’s watch as over 700 Texans lost
their lives. Greg Abbott was left with a choice: serve the people of Texas
by finally fixing the grid, or serve his major donors in the oil and gas
industries by letting them off the hook for price gouging Texans.
You can guess what he chose:

Here’s the bottom line, John:
Greg Abbott is making a bet. He’s betting that if he chooses special
interests over the people of Texas, he’ll be able to spend so much money
on his re-election — his campaign has promised to deploy over $100,000,000
— that he can still win, even though he’s failed our state over and over.
It’s up to us to make sure he loses that bet. It’s up to us to hold Greg
Abbott fully accountable.
