Now that we have one election victory under our belts, it’s clear that our district is ready to elect Patty Pansing Brooks.
But we don’t have to wait until November to send Patty to Washington — if we make the most of this opportunity, our first CongressWOMAN could be representing us in just a matter of weeks.
Here’s how:
• We have not had a representative in Congress since the former congressman was convicted and resigned from office.
• Our district will vote in a Special Election on June 28 to immediately fill the vacancy. The winner goes straight to Congress and will be our representative through the end of the year.
• No matter the outcome of the June election, we’ll vote for Patty again on November 8 to start a new two-year term in Congress beginning in 2023.
John, that means this June is our chance to flip a seat blue in Congress earlier than any race across the nation.
Let that sink in.
It also means Patty’s Republican opponent will be getting even more donations from super-PACs and dark money groups. To keep pace through two elections, we’ll need all hands on deck.
