Hi John, and Happy Pride Month!

This month (and all year long!) we are proud to honor our LGBTQ+ neighbors and friends and to shine a light on all the progress we have made over the last several years.

Joe believes no one should be stigmatized for who they love, and every human deserves to be treated fairly and equally. As a member of the CT State House in 1991, he was proud to vote in support of the first major gay rights bill passed in our state. More recently, he’s a proud cosponsor of the Equality Act, which would expand current antidiscrimination laws to include sexual orientation and gender identity, ensuring that LGBTQ+ Americans are protected against unlawful discrimination.

We must also recognize that progress remains to be made before we achieve true equality for all. Kevin McCarthy and the radical right would be happy to undo all the progress we’ve made as a nation, but Joe will never stop fighting for our LGBTQ+ neighbors throughout eastern Connecticut and across our country.

John, we can’t afford to lose such a fierce advocate for our rights in Congress. If you’re able to chip in to Joe’s re-election campaign today, it will go a long way towards making sure we re-elect Joe in November.
