On Thursday's national Zoom call with PCCC members, Donna Edwards -- our endorsed candidate for Maryland’s 4th district -- shared her personal experience grappling with the pain of prescription drug prices.

Donna’s prescription for Multiple Sclerosis cost $70,000 a year. But in the U.K., the same exact medication is $7,000: "Same drug, same company -- just extorting us in the U.S. because they can."

Donna knows that many people in her district and millions across the country share this injustice with her. That’s what will fuel her fight in Congress for lower prescription drug costs and affordable healthcare.

Donna Edwards served in Congress after defeating a corporate Democrat incumbent in 2008. She stepped away in 2017, and now she's coming back strong for election to an open seat against a corporate, establishment Democrat. If she wins, she will regain all her House seniority and be a top leader in the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
