Folks, let me take this moment to wish you a Happy Pride Month!

This month is both a time to celebrate and a time to remember. Together, we celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community’s many invaluable contributions to our community which have brought us all closer together.

We also remember the trailblazers – like Marsha P. Johnson, Harvey Milk, and James Baldwin – who have come before us and fought for acceptance and equality for the LGBTQIA+ community.

These figures inspire me to continue to stand up in Congress in pursuit of their ultimate goal of equal rights and justice for the LGBTQIA+ community. Our country must be a land of opportunity and equality for all no matter how they identify or who they love.

I will always fight to ensure that LGBTQIA+ folks will always have a home across Nevada and in my district.
