Extremist Republican abortion bans – and the U.S. Supreme Court's indication it will overturn Roe v. Wade – aren't simply attacks on abortion and women's healthcare more broadly. They are attacks on fundamental human rights and individual liberty.

We have to fight these attacks at every level of government. Just recently, Connecticut led the way by passing and enacting legislation to expand abortion-related care. The new legislation also makes Connecticut a safe haven for those traveling from out of state seeking an abortion.

Across the country, Democratic leaders are taking action to protect the fundamental civil and human rights of American women.

They need our support urgently: Just recently, Oklahoma enacted the nation's strictest abortion ban into law. In Wyoming, a clinic planning to become the only one to offer abortion care in the state was set on fire before it could even open. This year alone, Republicans have introduced nearly 550 laws that would restrict abortion. This is a crisis.

We must show the country grassroots Democrats won't stand for it, which is why I need you and 80 other members of this team to take action by answering a simple question: Do you support efforts to protect reproductive freedom at every level of government?
