John: On one hand, there’s Rep. Lauren Boebert – Republican congresswoman from Colorado’s 3rd District. 

First, after winning her 2020 primary to become the Republican nominee, Boebert said she hoped QAnon "is real because it only means America is getting stronger and better.” 

Later, Boebert famously declared that she’d bring her firearm to Congress because “Government does NOT get to tell me or my constituents how we are allowed to keep our families safe.” 

Then, on Jan. 6, 2021, Boebert helped incite a vicious attack on our nation’s Capitol, jeopardized the safety of her colleagues in Congress, and used her voice to undermine free and fair elections in our country. Despite all this, Lauren Boebert will STILL be on the ballot this November. 

On the other hand, there’s Emerge alum Sol Sandoval. Sandoval is an Indigenous, Chicana woman fighting to uphold the fundamental dignity of her neighbors. She is a veteran social worker and community organizer, and has consistently advocated for Paid Family Leave, affordable health care, and livable wages. Sandoval could be the Democratic nominee for Colorado’s 3rd District and possibly go against Lauren Boebert.
