This Pride Month, I'm thrilled to see millions of Americans celebrating who they
are and who they love. LGBTQ+ Americans -- including my daughter and her wife --
have fought hard to achieve the equal rights they deserve.

But I'm ashamed to say that today, in 2022, discrimination against LGBTQ+
Americans is still legal in 29 states. And this year, we've seen extreme
Republicans go even further with their heinous attacks on the LGBTQ+ community,
from Ron DeSantis' "Don't Say Gay" law in Florida to Greg Abbott's Texas law
criminalizing parents and falsely labeling gender-affirming care as child abuse.

That's why I've vowed to keep fighting to pass the Equality Act and ban
discrimination against LGBTQ+ people at the federal level. As we celebrate queerness and fight back against hate, I need you to take a stand and sign your name if you're with me. [link removed] SIGN YOUR NAME: Support LGBTQ+ Equality [link removed]

The Equality Act would update the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include
protections for all LGBTQ+ Americans. It would ban discrimination in housing,
public education, public accommodations, federal funding, credit, and the jury
system -- areas of life that, shockingly, 29 states have deemed acceptable for
discrimination on the basis of sexuality and gender identity.

Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have fought against the Equality Act
before. And as the Supreme Court opens the door to overturning the decision that
legalized gay marriage, we need to stand with our LGBTQ+ friends, family, and
neighbors right now.

That's why I'm asking you to raise your voice. Sign my petition if you support the Equality Act and believe we must protect the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans in all 50 states. [link removed]
