Friend,

The Supreme Court’s far-right majority is set to overturn Roe v. Wade this month.

Once this decision goes into effect, states across the country will be allowed to outlaw abortion.

We’ve already seen states roll back our constitutional right to an abortion: Most recently, Oklahoma passed the nation’s strictest abortion ban — prohibiting all abortion, with very few exceptions.

The decision to overturn Roe and lawmakers’ commitment to attack our rights is devastating, and it’s important that we acknowledge the pain and defeat our communities feel.

But it’s crucial we don’t give up the fight. There’s still so much we can do, starting with the Senate passing the Women’s Health Protection Act.

Act now: Urge your senators to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act and codify our right to abortion into federal law — no matter what the Supreme Court rules.

The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe poses a new threat to our future: Less freedom than the generations before us. Young people, for the first time in history, are facing a future in which they’ll have fewer rights than their mothers and grandmothers.

Lawmakers have already stacked the cards against young people. We face obstacles to accessing the full range of affordable health care as economic insecurity rises, and now our constitutional right to make decisions for our own bodies is being taken away.

When we fight for young people to have full access to reproductive health care, we’re simultaneously fighting for economic justice and our communities' rights to their bodies.

It’s the younger generations that will have to deal with the ripple effects of abortion bans as they impact the future of our communities, health care systems, the ability to determine our own lives, and more.

And as the younger generations work to move our democracy and abortion rights forward, GOP lawmakers are simultaneously plotting to turn back the clock over 50 years. They’re working to reinstate draconian laws that not only take our ability to choose away, but create a dangerous future for young people, too.

We owe it to ourselves and younger generations to stay in the fight for abortion now and long after the Supreme Court’s decision.

Write your senators now and pressure them to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act, so we all can receive safe access to abortion, no matter where we are.

Solidarity,
