Hi John,
I hope you had a restful and reflective Thanksgiving. I hate to interrupt your time with loved ones, but I’ve been doing some reflecting myself, and I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts with you.
Representing Maine’s second congressional district is a true honor, and I feel so fortunate to have earned the trust of supporters like you. Like any job, it comes with its own set of challenges. Family time is hard to come by between the long days on Capitol Hill and even longer commutes to and from Washington. And Chesapeake Bay seafood doesn’t hold a candle to Maine lobsters.
But if there’s one thing that gets me through it all, it’s this team.
You believed in me when the pundits wrote us off, stood by me when dark money attacks poured into our district, showed up to mobilize one of America’s most rural districts, and pitched in when deadlines tested our strength.
At every milestone along the way, you’ve been there, and John, I couldn’t be more grateful. This is the kind of support that wins elections -- even in the most competitive districts -- and we need to do everything we can to replicate this energy in 2020.
While I know that chipping in to help out a congressional race might not be your top priority this weekend, I hope you’ll consider making a donation before midnight to help us reach our November goal. We only have a few hours left, but aren’t quite where we need to be. >>
Thank you for taking the time to read my note. Please enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Respectfully,
Jared
