The Republican Party continues their attack on reproductive rights.

Just last week in Oklahoma, GOP Governor Kevin Stitt signed into law the most restrictive abortion ban in the country.

Modeling after Texas’ law, it allows citizens to sue abortion providers, or anyone who “aids and abets” an abortion, and bans nearly all abortions starting at fertilization.

Folks, from suppressing the vote to banning abortions, it is clear the GOP does not care about American rights, Republicans only care about power and control.

While the GOP focuses on taking rights away from Americans, Future Forum Dems remain focused on solutions. This November, it’s absolutely critical we defend and expand our Democratic majority. Oklahoma’s abortion ban is by far one of the cruelest attacks by the GOP on Americans.

By allowing any private citizen to sue, and rewarding them for successful lawsuits, the Oklahoma GOP has put a bounty on any Oklahoman seeking reproductive care.

With the expected overturn of Roe any day now, we need to protect access to safe and legal abortion by passing federal laws that codify that right. The GOP will do everything they can to make sure this doesn’t happen. It is up to Democrats to protect our rights, and why we need to defend and expand our Democratic majorities this fall.
