Did you see the news?
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) moved last week to establish critical protections in Bristol Bay, protecting our region from immense and devastating damage from the proposed Pebble Mine.
I have been leading this fight for a long time – 11 years, in fact. With wild Alaskan salmon populations and thousands of fishing-related jobs hanging in the balance, I applaud the EPA for this critical step and I urge them to move quickly to finalize these protections.
Will you add your name to our growing call for the EPA to act swiftly in securing permanent Clean Water Act protections for Bristol Bay? I need 10,000 supporters to make their voices heard on this issue: [[link removed]]
The large-scale Pebble Mine would devastate our region’s wild salmon fisheries and the communities and jobs that rely on them.
The EPA announced they are advancing permanent Clean Water Act protections for Bristol Bay, but now we must ensure those protections are finalized.
Add your name today to join me in urging the EPA to move swiftly and ensure Bristol Bay salmon are protected forever. [[link removed]]
Our work doesn’t stop here.
I will continue to fight not only to finalize Bristol Bay protections but also to call for similar measures for threatened resources and industries in our region. We must continue our mission to preserve our invaluable natural resources for future generations to come.
Thanks for fighting on our team.
