After the terrible tragedy in Dayton, Mike DeWine promised Ohioans he’d "do something" to curb gun violence. Years later, after countless more shootings including recent tragedies in Buffalo, Uvalde, and Tulsa, DeWine hasn't taken action -- and we think we know why.

The gun lobby has spent over $580,000 in political contributions in Ohio alone – and Governor Mike DeWine has received more contributions from the gun lobby than any other state-based politician since 2010.

In 2021, DeWine signed the "Stand Your Ground" bill into law. Now after Uvalde, rather than take common-sense steps to stop gun violence, Gov. DeWine has announced that he will sign a bill that permits school districts to arm employees to "harden schools."

Right now, Governor Mike DeWine has a choice to make: stand with Ohio students, teachers, and police officers or cave once again to the gun lobby and extremists funding his campaign.
