Hey team – Happy Pride Month!

This is a time to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community, reflect on the progress we’ve made over the years, and resolve to continue to fight for equality across our country.

Organizers coordinated the first Pride march in June 1970. Even though it’s been more than 50 years, the fight for LGBTQ+ rights is just as important today as it was then.

Republicans are spending their time attacking and bullying trans kids and stoking fear and resentment toward the LGBTQ+ community. It’s gross and wrong. I’ll stand up for the rights of every Kentuckian when I’m in Congress. After all, it’s what I’ve done for years in Frankfort.

In the Kentucky Senate, I passed the law to preserve marriage equality, fought to ban conversion therapy to protect our LGBTQ+ youth, carried the statewide fairness bill, and stood up against Republican legislation that bullies trans youth. Now, I’m running for Congress to continue this important fight in Washington.
