We knew that we'd built a strong, people-powered campaign this spring. Still, when the press called our race within 15 minutes of returns being released, it was a surreal experience.

Since then, it's been a whirlwind.

We've brought thousands more folks into our movement. Oregonians are stepping forward to fight for commonsense, progressive leadership in Washington: our phones are ringing, folks are showing up at the office to volunteer, and we're growing by the day.

But, John, we've got to get bigger still. This is going to be one of the toughest races in the country. We need to be prepared, and that means building up our numbers now.
