Joint Police and Firefighter Facility Coming to NEPA
Dear John,
This week, I joined Moosic Mayor Robert Bennie to announce plans to construct a new facility for both police and firefighters with $3 million in federal funds I secured. We are lucky to have such capable and dedicated first responders in Northeastern Pennsylvania who are always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty, and they deserve the facilities and equipment they need to do their jobs effectively.
Today is Gun Violence Prevention Day, and earlier this week, I spoke with Chris Jansing from MSNBC on common sense gun solutions. It’s important that we start treating gun violence as the deadly public health crisis it is and work to keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have them.
Improving the Mayfield Levee through Community Project Funding
Mayfield Borough is one of my Community Project Funding designees for Fiscal Year 2023.
Recently, I joined Mayor Al Chelik to walk the levee area where the $2.3 million in funding will be used to improve flood protection for local homes and businesses.
Congratulations to Jordan Kotowski, owner of Abe’s Hot Dogs, Mountain Top, for being named the Small Business Administration’s Eastern Pennsylvania District Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
