John,
Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day, a day we recognize the victims and survivors of gun violence.
In the wake of multiple mass shooting tragedies in Buffalo, New York, Uvalde, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma, the need to end the scourge of gun violence has never been more urgent. We can’t stand by and mourn the lives lost while doing nothing to prevent further loss. We need common sense gun reform.
Earlier this week, I wrote an opinion piece about the work we’ve done on gun violence prevention and the pressing need for the Senate to step up and do their jobs.

I hope you'll take a moment today to reflect and remember those lost to gun violence. We can't afford inaction, we can't let any more families suffer.
Thank you,
Mike
