Thanks to your generous support here's what we’ve been able to accomplish together over the past few months Dear Email, The past two months have been turbulent and difficult for the people of Palestine. We’ve seen attacks on worshippers in Al Aqsa, the continuation of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem, the home demolitions and forced displacement, the land confiscation and construction of Zionist settlements, the murder of Palestinian children (13 since January), the assassination of Palestinian-American Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, and the commemoration of the 74th anniversary of the Nakba. To add insult to injury, unlimited American support for all of these crimes continues, in our names and with our tax money. At AMP, we have been working on all fronts as promised. Here’s a quick snapshot of what we have been up to: - We traveled 20,000+ miles bringing Palestine programs and events coast to coast.
- We capped off our largest Date Boycott Campaign yet with thousands around the country promoting and engaging with the campaign to boycott Israeli dates grown on illegal settlements.
- We hosted 30+ events in Mosques, Community Centers, and Universities.
- We hosted Nakba rallies in 10 major cities nationwide with coverage from local, national, and international media.
- AMP secured 12 domestic and international media features.
- AMP led a campaign directed at Congress to end Israeli settler violence with over 1,000 supporters.
- We organized thousands of supporters to demand an immediate arms embargo on Israel.
- We worked with Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) and Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) to send this letter to the State Department regarding Palestinian-American Omar Assaad who was murdered by Israeli soldiers.
- During Ramadan, AMP social media featured daily live streams from Masjid al Aqsa during Friday sermons and night prayers.
- We hosted 8 days of live coverage of attacks on the Masjid Al Aqsa to shed light on the ongoing incursions.
