I am truly honored to announce today that I have been endorsed by Giffords PAC, the gun safety organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

I am abundantly proud to have received the endorsement of such an organization working to bring awareness to desperately needed gun violence prevention measures, especially in the wake of recent tragedies in Uvalde and Buffalo.

As a responsible gun owner and Chairman of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, I understand that passing gun violence prevention laws and protecting the constitutional rights of Americans can go hand in hand. That is why I spearheaded the Bipartisan Background Checks Act, and am actively working with the Biden administration to increase funding for violence intervention programs.

I am humbled that Giffords PAC recognizes my commitment to advancing legislation that will end this epidemic of gun violence once and for all.
