We’ve both made record investments in our infrastructure. We both love our basketball rivalries (Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!). And we both need your help winning this year.
This year, I'm running in a tough race. I'm running against an extremist who wants to turn my state into a testing ground for the most reckless economic policies so he can export them.

When I saw the destruction my predecessor's administration brought to my state -- defunded schools, crumbling infrastructure, a struggling economy, and a reckless tax plan that hurt our middle class -- I knew I had to act. So, I announced my candidacy for governor in 2018.
And now, as I look at all the progress my state has made, including balancing the state budget, fully funding our schools, eliminating the food tax, and creating more jobs – I can't imagine how painful it would be to watch our hard work be erased by a politician who'd take us back in the wrong direction.
That's why I'm running again, why I'm working with fellow strong leaders like Gretchen to ensure we can continue on this journey.
