“Downtown Cleveland Starbucks votes to unionize; joins Columbus as first union stores in Ohio”

I stand with the Starbucks workers in Cleveland and Columbus who voted to unionize.
It hasn’t been easy. Starbucks executives tried to squash workers’ efforts, even threatening to deny new, expanded benefits for unionized workers.
That’s illegal.
It’s not because corporations can’t pay or treat their workers fairly. It’s because they won’t.
(Need proof? Look at U.S. chief execs’ pay -- median pay is over $14 million, breaking records for the sixth year in a row.)
Every worker should have a voice in their workplace.
I’m hoping I can count on you to get involved in this fight. Will you add your name and show your support for unions and workers’ right to organize?
With gratitude,
Sherrod
