Right now, we have a U.S. Senate that isn't getting much done. Reproductive rights are in jeopardy, there’s been no movement on reducing gun violence, and families across the country are hurting. We need to elect more folks who will work together to get things done.

Over my career as a public servant, I’ve never stopped fighting for the progressive values that benefit both Vermont and the country. From working to lower the cost of prescription drugs to fighting climate change, there’s so much to accomplish, and not a second to waste.

This race is an important one if we’re going to expand the Democratic majority and stop Mitch McConnell Republicans from retaking the Senate. They’ve got their eyes set on Vermont, so we need to act.

I’ve always had a ‘can do’ attitude. There’s solutions to find in working together. But we’ve seen Senate Republicans consistently block legislation that would help solve problems—they’re fighting for failure.

This is an All Hands On Deck moment, and I jumped in this race because of the urgency of this moment. Losing this seat could have devastating long-term effects on our democracy, and we can’t let that happen. When we win this election, I’ll be there on Day One to fight for our progressive values and on behalf of working families, and it’ll be all because of the power of this grassroots movement.
