Buffalo, Laguna Woods, Uvalde, and now Tulsa. They say not to politicize their deaths. They say nothing could have prevented this. They say thoughts and prayers. WE SAY ENOUGH. What do you say, John?

We’re partnering with gun violence prevention organizations and advocates all across the country to show the strength of our movement. Every orange t-shirt will show our pledge to vote for gun responsibility champions. Every landmark and front porch lit up with an orange light will be a call for our leaders to finally get assault weapons off our streets. Every #WearOrange post will be a promise that we will do whatever it takes to keep our kids safe.
We know the cost of inaction. 124 Americans killed every day by gun violence. Living in fear as we go about our daily lives, our workplaces, our schools, our houses of worship, the grocery store. Other countries are not terrorized by angry teenagers with hate in their heart, because other countries do not arm them with weapons of war. We have the power to change this.
In a few minutes, the Alliance will be joining community leaders in Seattle to honor the victims of gun violence with action. In Washington state, we have proven that the gun lobby’s stranglehold can be broken. Since Sandy Hook, we have expanded background checks, established Extreme Risk Protection Orders, and raised the age for purchasing semi-automatic assault rifles.
Now, it’s time for the other Washington to follow suit.
I know you can’t be with us here today, but your support all these years has made our progress possible. I hope you’ll watch along on Facebook:
