This is the reality of being an elected official representing one of the only true battleground districts in the nation.

Before I could cast my first vote, national Republican groups already singled me out as one of their top targets in 2020. Before I could even organize my first town hall as a member of Congress, dark money groups were already plotting out how many millions they would spend and who they would recruit to run against me.

Our margin of victory last year was just two points. They believe if they get involved early that they can erase that margin come Election Day 2020.

But none of that is stopping us from getting results. We’re working to drive down health care costs, improve the security of our elections, address the climate crisis, ban offshore drilling, and give our veterans the services they have earned.
