96 [link removed]  Our Spring Dinner Is Almost Here Chairman
Kyle Hupfer speaks during the 2021 Spring Dinner, which featured Sarah
Huckabee Sanders.
One of my favorite parts of the role as chairman is
looking for dynamic, strong, and inspiring leaders to bring to our
annual dinner events, and the guest of honor for our upcoming spring
dinner is no exception.
Over the past few weeks, we've been sharing
highlights from Ambassador Kelly Craft's career — a career dedicated to
projecting American strength and ideals abroad while promoting peace,
human rights, and human dignity for people. And perhaps nowhere is this
more apparent than her continued call for reforms to the Human Rights
Council and "the insanity of its persistent egregious anti-Israel
behavior."
If you recall, President Trump withdrew the United States
from the Human Rights Council in 2018, citing its anti-Israel bias and
failure to address serious human rights abuses throughout the world in
countries like Venezuela, China, and North Korea. Anticipating a change
in policy from the incoming Biden administration, Ambassador Craft
stated that the United States should leverage its position outside the
council to lead the charge for reform before considering re-joining. But
unfortunately, and rather unsurprisingly, Joe Biden rejoined the
organization, giving credibility to the very regimes that are a part of
it.
Ambassador Craft's years of service working to protect human
rights and hold abusers accountable has proven that she is an
influential leader on the world’s stage, and I am proud and honored to
have her join us next week.
Enjoy this week’s newsletter and share it
with a friend, and I hope to see you next Thursday, June 9!
Sincerely,
Chairman Kyle Hupfer
  Governor Holcomb's Week That

creating up to 175 new, high-wage jobs by the end of 2025. Industry
innovators like Penske, Bridgestone, Shell, and others convened to
discuss revolutionizing the mobility industry. Delegations from Indiana

more detail, Indiana and the United Kingdom signed an MOU to increase
investment and remove trade barriers. This four-day event followed two
of the largest economic development announcements in state history.
"It is at an unprecedented level coming into the state of Indiana. We
don't just have traction, we've got serious ... momentum going
forward." — Gov. Holcomb
  A First-of-Its-Kind AgreementLast
Friday, Gov. Holcomb signed a memorandum of understanding on trade with
the United Kingdom, establishing a working group to help increase
foreign investment and identify and address trade barriers.
Under
the first-of-its-kind agreement for the United Kingdom, Indiana and the
UK will focus their cooperation across multiple sectors, specifically
“advanced manufacturing and materials; aerospace and aviation; life
sciences; agriculture and agriscience; automotive, including electric,
connected and automated mobility; low-emissions technology and
solutions; energy and infrastructure.”
In announcing the MOU, the
United Kingdom's Department for International Trade stated, "Indiana is
an entrepreneurial powerhouse, offering UK firms significant
opportunities in areas like renewable energy, advanced manufacturing
and pharmaceuticals. The UK is the seventh largest export market for
Indiana, and the state buys $1.4 billion worth of goods from the UK.
This agreement will act as a springboard to grow this even further."

NOW!  Joe Biden Really Doesn't Have a Plan
From the
[link removed]-
june-pivot-to-the-economy-00035950 POLITICO Playbook:
"The Biden
White House is rolling out a new monthlong economic campaign today to
try to 'communicate on our accomplishments to date on the economy,'
according to a White House official.
"President Joe Biden kicked off
the effort with a WSJ op-ed that posted Monday evening, in which he
boasted that his 'administration’s economic and vaccination plans
helped achieve the most robust recovery in modern history.'"
BUT...
"IS IT REALLY A ‘PLAN’ WHEN THE PRESIDENT POINTS FINGERS? While the
president’s op-ed purports to lay out a plan for addressing inflation,
a close read shows that he actually seems to be pushing the burden off
on others, including … Jerome Powell … and Congress.
"So this plan
isn’t much of a plan at all. Let’s also remember who controls Congress:
Biden’s own party."
 So Long, Pete!
According to Craig Mauger
of the Detroit News, Michigan Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is now
calling Pete Buttigieg a "Michigander" now that he owns a home in the
state.
Our response? So long, Pete!
