Over the holiday weekend, I had the misfortune of breaking my leg in three places. I saw my youngest being pulled under the boat we were on, and immediately my mama bear instincts kicked in and I jumped into action.

I’m thankful that I was able to get my daughter to safety and that my injuries were not more extensive. So, I’ll be slowing down to take care of myself for a minute, but I’m sure I’ll be back in action in no time!

Unfortunately, in today's political world, fully pausing our campaign is not an option. In order to beat Byron Donalds and the Republican Party in November, every day counts.

There are only 16 days left for me to gather the required 2,500 signatures to get on the ballot, or I will be required to pay $10,000.

My team and I have been working diligently over the past few months to gather as many signatures as possible, however we're still a couple hundred short. And with my recent injury, I will be unable to continue reaching out to the community until I have healed a bit more … so I really need some extra help to get this done by the deadline!
