John,
When someone donates to Justice Democrats, they usually give around $18 — our 2022 average is $18.43, to be exact.
That’s not normal for most Democrats or Democratic organizations. While they’re willing to take money from corporations and GOP mega-donors, we rely 100% on grassroots support.
With your help, we’ve built an organization dedicated to electing working-class progressive leaders. Justice Democrats in Congress, like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush, and Jamaal Bowman, are carrying on the work of the political revolution, and we’re dedicated to electing more people to Congress who are running on many of the transformative policies Bernie Sanders made popular in 2016.
We’ve done it without massive corporations and wealthy conservative donors. The average donor to Justice Democrats looks a whole lot more like the average American than donors to most other political organizations — because together, we’re fighting for an economy that works for all of us.
Right now is the best time to make your first contribution to Justice Democrats. Last month we faced attacks from corporate-funded right-wing Super PACs. But we can’t just out-organize the corporate interests. We need to outraise them.
We’re proud of how many people have chosen to invest in our movement. The more money we’re able to raise, the more races we can compete in — because the Democratic establishment has unlimited campaign money, we can only realistically run campaigns in a handful of districts. The more resources we have, the more corporate Democrats we’re able to take on.
We can only make critical strategic calls when we have resources in hand — we’ll never take the millions from Wall Street, Big Oil, or Silicon Valley billionaires like the Democratic establishment.
Together we can win the battle to transform our democracy into something that truly fights for the people — not powerful corporate interests, not fossil fuel barons, and not the billionaires.
We’re lucky to have you with us in this fight,
Team JD
