I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and some time off with family. I know Lisa and our daughters and I had a great time being together after a pretty hectic couple of months that certainly have kept me busy.

I know my team already emailed today, but I just wanted to send a note thanking you for your support. We're heading into the most important campaign I've ever run, and I've frankly never seen before the kind of energy that I've seen among Virginia Democrats as I've traveled around Virginia these past few months. That gives me hope for 2020 — hope that we can build on the victories we celebrated earlier this month and hope that we can beat Donald Trump and start to turn our country around under a Democratic president and Democratic majorities in Congress.

I'm thankful that people care enough about what's happening in their communities to get out there and make a difference. Whether it's voting, volunteering, talking to friends and family, or supporting campaigns like mine... this is how we make real change in a democracy like ours.

And I'm particularly thankful for folks like you, who've made a point to stay updated on my campaign and support it financially when they can. That means a great deal to me, and I can't thank you enough.

I haven't checked exactly how many percentage points behind we are on our November fundraising goal at this point, but I'll just say this: If you're able to help me out as we build this campaign and head into 2020, I'd be incredibly grateful.
