Leaked tapes of Republican operatives provide an inside look at the GOP's
attempt to take over the administration of elections so they can throw out
tens of thousands of votes and ensure Republicans win, no matter the true
outcome of the election.^1
In one tape, a Republican staffer says he is building "an army" of
Republicans who will be certified as official poll workers in critical
battleground states.^2 These partisan poll workers would be installed in
Democratic-majority polling places, instructed on "how to challenge a
voter," and have at their disposal a hotline so they could chat in real
time with a Republican lawyer.^3
Steve Bannon—who has previously bragged that MAGA is "taking over all the
elections"—is using his podcast to recruit MAGA extremists to take on
election leadership positions.^4,5
Trump and his MAGA allies are currently working to sabotage future
elections so they can have the final say over election results—even when
they lose.
To fight back, MoveOn is doing something we've never done in our history:
investing millions of dollars into a democracy defense campaign to defeat
right-wing candidates who want to control our elections.

The GOP's coordinated attack on democracy includes both

In Arizona, one Republican elected official called on vigilantes to "camp
out" at drop-off boxes during the upcoming election and stalk and confront
voters they think appear suspicious.^6
The threats to our democracy are critical and urgent.
