I’ll be honest: this is going to be an all-out sprint to election day. Thousands of
ballots have already been cast in this election, so the pool of voters we can contact is diminishing every single day — while the importance of reaching them is growing.
That means fewer opportunities for us to let voters know the stakes of this election. The best way we have a shot at making this brand new congressional seat blue is if I’m on the ballot against Ryan Zinke this November.
I’m talking to voters every single day who believe in our campaign and in our message. Montanans aren’t greedy folks. We’ve always thrived when we’ve had the stability to make free choices – being able to put food on the table for our family, get access to the health care we need, and security for the future.
And while my opponents have union-busting consultants and national pundits in their ear from Washington influencing their every move, the biggest influence in my campaign is the conversations I have with voters as they share their hopes – and fears – for the future of our state and country.
At the end of the day, politicians from both sides of the aisle have taken us for a ride for far too long. It’s time that we elect a class of representatives who will actually be beholden to their constituents and not special interest groups.
