Folks, it’s game time. And we’re facing a budget gap.
In a sec, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign, but first, I want to explain why this week is particularly important.
Right now, the Boston Celtics are in the NBA Finals. That’s a big deal for New England sports fans – and it’s also a big deal for our race.
The good news? Senator Hassan is a lifelong Celtics fan.
The bad news? In order to get our ads on the air for the NBA Finals, we needed to increase our weekly ad budget by nearly 50%. That means we still need to raise an additional $9,432 before midnight.
You may know that a big chunk of New Hampshire is in the Boston TV market. That makes it expensive any time of the year to run a campaign here — but especially right now. And this extra cost wasn’t in our budget.
I told Senator Hassan that the Celtics making the finals would be expensive for the campaign. And she (respectfully) told me to shut up, because it was well worth it.
Anyway, I need your help right now. We’ve got to make up this budget gap — and fast. Mitch McConnell just poured an additional $4.7 million dollars of attack ads into New Hampshire, and we can’t fall behind now.
Thank you for your support.
