Right now, political operatives are working behind closed doors to
turbo-charge gerrymandering, undermine our values, and rig our democracy
for decades. We need your help to expose them and fight back.

The values in our Constitution are clear: everyone deserves to be
represented in our government. But some power-hungry politicians want to
deny us that right -- and draw legislative districts that don’t count
everybody who lives there.

during the redistricting process>>

Representation determines things like how many road repair projects are
funded, how much affordable housing gets built, and how many firetrucks
each town gets. When our neighbors aren’t represented and included in all
counts, our entire community loses out on these resources.

For nearly a century, state leaders have drawn districts based on total
population counts. But in 2015, GOP gerrymandering mastermind Thomas
Hofeller theorized that changing that -- and drawing districts based on
the number of citizens over 18 years old instead -- would secure a
permanent electoral advantage for “Republicans and non-Hispanic whites.”

Now, political operatives are plotting to make Hofeller’s scheme a
reality. And for the sake of our representative democracy -- we can’t let
that happen.
