[1]NNU - Medicare for All!

Last week, over one hundred nurses and
activists joined us for our first webinar in our summer series, The Fight
for the Future of Health Care. If you couldn’t make it to the webinar,
don’t worry — [ [link removed] ]you can watch a full recording of the event here.

vision for the future — including nightmarish “Home All Alone” schemes
where sick patients care for themselves in their own homes, instead of
being admitted for care in a hospital where they belong.

In particular, we took a close look at how underserved communities and
marginalized health care workers carry the heaviest burden of our broken
health care system, and how these dangerous “Home All Alone” schemes will
disproportionately affect people of color and rural communities.

There’s a lot we’re up against — as one attendee put it, “I didn’t realize
all this was going on in the health care industry.” But the good news is
that nurses are fighting back against these dangerous new practices to
ensure patients get the hands-on care they need, and you can be part of
that effort.

Our fight for Medicare for All is not just about winning guaranteed health
care for all. It's about ensuring that every patient has the high-quality,
direct care of registered nurses and other professional caregivers — not
left at home to take care of themselves with an iPad, a smartwatch, or
nothing at all.

Thanks for taking the time and watching. We look forward to
continuing our fight for health care justice with you.

In solidarity,

Nurses’ Campaign to Win Medicare for All
