A.G. Holder said it plainly, John – “the Supreme Court was broken long before the leak” of Justice Alito’s draft decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health.
So where do we go from here?
Option 1:
We give up. We assume that with the Supreme Court under the control of a conservative majority, nothing we do will be effective. Republicans immediately take advantage of our lack of fight and are able to hang on to their gerrymandered maps, reelect map manipulators, and elect judges who they believe will rubber stamp their gerrymanders. Our democracy is weakened even further.
Option 2:
We keep fighting for our democracy – no matter what SCOTUS does. The NDRC keeps working with our affiliates in courts, in the states, and at the ballot box to protect the right to vote and to have every vote count equally. We build on our wins to make redistricting even more fair, now and in the future. We return the power to the people, where it should be, and take it away from extremist politicians.
John, what happens to our country depends on what option you choose. We know you’re a fighter – so will you make a donation to the NDRC to show that you’re still fighting for our freedom to vote and our democracy, no matter what SCOTUS does?

Since 2017, the NDRC has executed a comprehensive redistricting strategy that shifts the redistricting power, creating fair districts where Democrats can compete. Our victories have been made possible by our strong community of grassroots supporters. |
