Friends,
After over a week of extended ballot counting in Clackamas County, I’m delighted to share with you that the Associated Press finally called our race.
I am officially the Democratic nominee for Oregon’s 5th Congressional District.
But I want to make it clear: this victory is ours, not just mine. It belongs to so many — every voter, supporter, organizer, grassroots donor, and person who shares our vision for Oregon and helped make this happen.
Corporate special interests and D.C. insiders spent more than $3 million to try and buy the nomination. In response, we focused on the needs of Oregonians — working people, seniors, and students in urban and rural areas. Because that’s the work that needs to be done in Congress. Our vision for an equitable future and people-powered momentum were more powerful than their corporate PAC dollars.
Now, an even tougher battle lies ahead.
In November, we’re up against a regressive GOP machine and corporate PACs working overtime to undermine our rights and make life more difficult for Oregonians. To show the GOP they're no match for us, will you join our people-powered campaign by making a contribution to invest in our win in the general election?

I’m running to solidify our House majority, ensure the needs of working families take center stage in our country’s legislative priorities, and make history as the first LGBTQ+ person to represent Oregon in Congress. I will bring a rural voice to the Democratic team and expand our relationships in rural communities.
Here’s the stark electoral reality: to defeat the regressive Republican agenda in November, our campaign needs the resources to reach as many Oregon voters as possible.
That means hiring more organizers, training more volunteers, and engaging in more conversations across our district — at town halls, at doorsteps, in grange halls, by phone, and by text.
As we transition to the general election, your support is more important than ever. If you’re able, please make a contribution to build out our grassroots organizing to win in November.
