The Primary Election is just days away – and for those who have not voted, please take the time to review GOC’s Election Scorecard. Voices from the 2nd Amendment community must be heard; you need to know who is going to stand with us, and who is going to fight against us.  This is why, each election cycle, GOC publishes a scorecard based upon the following:

Incumbents – legislators who currently serve in the Assembly and the Senate – are graded exclusively on how they have voted on Second Amendment bills.
Non-incumbents (those running to be elected) have been sent a questionnaire which provided GOC the ability to assess a candidates’ policy views on the Second Amendment.  
Letter grades of A – F have been assigned for both incumbents and non-incumbents.
 
Because the vast majority of California’s 2A rights are being consistently trampled in the State Senate and Assembly, GOC is focusing on these particular races.  Prior to the General Election in November, GOC will publish an updated scorecard with grades for the top two candidates in each race.

Our goal has NEVER changed – GOC believes the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are priceless documents and are as valid today as when they were drafted.  We are dedicated to vigorously defending the 2nd Amendment, and thus, are actively engaged in the political process.

NOTE: You may notice a difference in how and where you will be voting; in 2021, California made a pandemic-inspired move in an effort to provide more voting options, thus requiring counties to mail ballots to every registered, active voter.  Completed ballots can be mailed, dropped off at polling locations or at specified drop boxes;  check your ballot on how and where to vote, or for additional information, go to the Secretary of State’s website HERE.
