June is Pride Month! 🌈

This month and every month, Democrats Serve celebrates the contributions and history of the LGBTQ+ community. We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight for legal protections. No one should ever be discriminated against because of who they are or who they love.

Since 2020, over 100 bills attacking transgender people have been introduced in Republican-controlled state legislatures. Currently, only 20 states and Washington D.C. allow people to update their gender on identification without presenting medical documentation. Over a dozen states, including battleground states Arizona, Florida, Ohio, Texas, and North Carolina, are attempting to pass or have passed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

This is unacceptable. We have work to do.

Together, we must all work to make our country a better place for everyone. Pride Month highlights just how much is on the line. Roe v. Wade isn’t the only landmark case that might be overturned – that could happen to Obergefell v. Hodges, too.

We must not let that happen.
