John – right now is a critical moment in this nation’s history and thanks to you, this team can keep our mission alive and continue to change the way we see who gets to take a leadership role in our politics.
Right now, in 2022, our government is not reflective of its people: women make up less than 30% of Congress, statewide elected offices, and state legislatures. Systemic barriers and prejudices continue to dissuade women – particularly young women and women of color – from running for office. That’s why we are building the movement to tear down those barriers and ensure that gender does not determine an election outcome.
But we won’t be able to change our political makeup in a silo – that’s why your grassroots support means so much to this organization.
If you did not have the chance to help A Woman’s Place reach our end of month goal earlier this week, you can still support our work by donating here [[link removed]] .
Thank you again for all you do. Your support keeps us going – both financially and in spirit.
- Mary Gay
The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.
We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
